23snaps (an app review)

I love taking photos of our baby girl...most parents do! Since we have family spread around the country, I was looking for a way to be able to share photos easily. 

Facebook was not what I had in mind since I use it a lot for my day job, so I started looking into photo sharing app options. That's when I found 23snaps. 

I've been using 23snaps for about two months and it's been a fun way to share photos with family and friends instantly.


You can connect the free app with Facebook and Instagram if you want to. But not everyone is on Facebook or Instagram, so I appreciate that the app lets anyone who signs up for an account view the photos from the 23snaps website or app. Similarly to other social media, you can comment or like/heart an image.

When I setup my account, it allowed me to invite anyone I wanted by simply adding their email, so I easily know who is viewing the photos I share.

There is the option to post photos from your phone or computer and two parents can post to the same account. You can also create a section of photos dedicated to each child as a way to organize them. There's even an option to arrange your photos by collection (i.e. family, travel).

I have not ordered prints or a photo book from the 23snaps website, but that's another great feature they offer.

Whenever I post a photo, those who accepted my invitation get an email notifying them of the new image. It's been particularly helpful since I was often forgetting someone on a group text when I was sharing photos that way. All in all, I've been really happy with this way of sharing photos with our family.
