life lately ((january edition))

Happy MLK Jr Day! I hope you are enjoying a three day weekend :) I would be if classes didn't start at the university where I work this week. Today, is my day to train staff, so it's going to be a whirlwind of a day.

It's also been a pretty busy month so far. I'm thankful to have my energy back in the second trimester. We've been tackling projects around the house left and right (and I can't wait to share more with you)! I've shown a few sneak peeks on Instagram, so feel free to follow me over there for more.

1- our newly painted guest room (more this later this week)
2- our new kitchen counter tops my husband installed
3- my first baby bump picture I took with my cell phone at 15 weeks
4- Old Navy accessories I bought each one for 99 cents
5- my excited about snow face (hopefully I will be making this again later today)
6- crochet baby booties I made for a friend's baby shower using this pattern
7- Thai eggplant my hubby brought home from the grocery store last week. They were so tasty!
8- I haven't bought many items for Baby G, but I couldn't pass up this bear beanie on clearance at Target
9- dressed up for a baby shower brunch in my $7.50 maternity skirt from Target and $4 top from Kohl's

What have you been up to lately?

I'm linking up with Life on Leroy.

  5. I gotta know, what do you do with that kind of eggplant? I have had my ups and downs with eggplant. Most of the time it turns out fantastic, but last time I made it, it was SO BITTER. Ugh. I can still remember that exact taste. Anyway, share your secrets! :)
