living room reveal + paint secret

Last week, our living room looked like this ((remember how our awesome church community helped out?)).

And this week, we are enjoying a living room that looks like this ((don't mind the unfinished ceiling))...

It's not completely finished, but it's come a long way! The paint color wasn't exactly what I had hoped, but we only spend $7 on  the gallon of paint! That's right, my "trick" is to stalk check out the oops paint shelf at Home Depot. I usually have an idea of what I'm looking for ((greens or yellows were what I ha in mind this time)).

We have found several paint colors we can use for our home ((it may take a few trips to multiple Home Depot locations)) for just $7/gallon. And if you want a second gallon they can always match it. I say spending $42 on two gallons of paint is way better than spending $70!

What projects have you been working on lately?

  1. It has been so much fun to see all the action in progress at your place via Instagram over the last week! The transformation is incredible :)

  2. That is a great idea!! I'll have to keep that in mind for when we paint our kitchen this year. Your living room looks great, such a transformation!

  3. That's a fantastic idea! We did three rooms in our house with Oops paint!

  4. the room looks great! I need to stalk the oops paints more often at home depot, maybe i can find some good colors for some projects I have in mind one we get settled in a house

  5. I didn't know they had a section like that! it looks great!

  6. you are so blessed to have such great church community to help with your renovations!!
