I like to dress for comfort

We've all heard it said before, 'comfort is key' and I think there's no time it matters more than when I'm traveling. As you may know, if you've been around here much lately, I've been away from home for the past two weeks (yes, I'm still on the road to those who follow me on Instagram and Twitter).

We've been traveling by car and have covered over 3,000 miles, needless to say we've been doing a lot of sitting. I don't know about you, but jeans are not my favorite thing to wear when I'm sitting for long periods of time. I suggest wearing something that's as comfortable as sweatpants, but cuter: the maxi skirt or dress!

Here are two examples from our recent days of travel:

Why I love the maxi dress/skirt on the road:
  • Look pulled together yet feel comfy!
  • Stay cool, dresses and skirts made from gauze material are very breathable and light weight
  • A long skirt is easier to move in than a short skirt
Do you have any road trip wearing secrets?

  2. I might need to pack a maxi for this weekend. I'm flying up to San Francisco from LA for a weekend with friends and driving back with them. I haven't done a 7 hour car ride in a while.
