>>>I need to find my JOY with Christ, instead of getting joy from putting together a cute outfit or the amount of money I save from coupons/sales while shopping. It's not wrong to be excited for those things, but it isn't honoring God to get my joy from them.
>>>I need to PRAY more, to seriously sit down and give God my undivided attention. Put away the distractions of technology and just sit in His presence and pray until I pray, as Raechel reminded us when the current SheReadsTruth study began.
>>>I need to give THANKS to the One who created me and knows me better than I know myself. He totally gets my circumstances and provides for me in ways I don't often acknowledge.

I am feeling you on this. That verse has really been challenging me this week.
ReplyDeleteawe, hang in there!
DeleteI LOVE these kind of posts---the ones that challenge us ALL to think about things that matter and even things that we need to change about ourselves!
ReplyDeletewhile i don't pray myself i do understand where you are coming from as far as focusing in and making certain things the priority. there can be a lot of distractions and it is important to take the time to get in touch with yourself :D

i think these are areas we all struggle. i have been terrible about giving God my undivided attention.. i have definitely let technology become an idol. i can't even seem to take the time to do the #shereadstruth study - i am wayyyy behind. here's to getting out priorites rearranged!
ReplyDeleteLove this, thanks for sharing your heart!
ReplyDeletethank you for reading :)
Deletehave been struggling with these things lately as well. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeletei am terrible at sitting still and just being. my head is constantly spinning-- i always feel like i need to be doing rather than being. this is a good reminder for me too.
ReplyDeleteThe undivided attention type of praying can be so difficult. I find it helps when I write it out! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Everything you wrote perfectly describes me. Thanks for sharing!
