You may recall last month, I participated in the 30 for 30 challenge and posted my first 13 days. I have to be honest, I wasn't able to complete the 30 days with our three weeks of travel at the end of June/beginning of July, but I did incorporate several of the same tops and shoes into my outfits while traveling (see below). It was good for me to simplify a bit and I think doing the challenge in summer gives more options than fall.
What I love about 30 for 30:
- I get ready faster in the morning with fewer options
- I'm more creative with my clothing combinations
- I rely on accessories to play up a look
- Making a dress look like a skirt with a top over it
The real challenges of 30 for 30:
- Picking out and sticking to my shoe options (maybe I own too many pairs of sandals?)
- Layering appropriately with just two cardigans (layers are a must for the a/c in my office)
My favorite accessories (in case you couldn't tell):
- bracelets
- earrings
- scarves (light ones for summer)
Have you done the 30 for 30 challenge before?
i've never done the challenge. i've always been tempted to try it... but i'm almost of the mindset that if i have a piece i want to wear and it's not included, i would wear it anyway... and then that would be cheating and that would be no bueno. LOL. i'm so indecisive with stuff... love that scarf in the 2nd pic btw! awesome colors!!! BTW: you should totally come link up to #YOLOmondays today if you want! happy monday, beth!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of 30 for 30! And I know what you mean about A/C in the office! Layers are a must, although it is sad when I walk outside (it has been upper 90s here for a couple weeks) then I instantly start to sweat! Can't seem to win ;)
