front door {makeover}

It's time for a little renovation reality check. The mister has been hard at work around the house (yet again). I am so thrilled to show off our new front door, so much so that I haven't even made a spring wreath to cover up even the smallest bit of the new solid wood door. I love it too much to cover even an inch!

We bought the pre-hung, unfinished door for $89 at Grossman's Bargain Outlet. It took some stain and sanding and then a lot of care to be installed. Thankfully, the mister is quite patient and skilled when it comes to such endeavors. What you can't see from the photo is how the door actually fits the space really well and blocks out more sound from the traffic on our busy street. I can already tell the entryway will be less drafty. The door is two inches wider than the first one, and so much prettier!
Honestly, I probably will make a spring wreath for the door and I'll be sure to use one of those over the door hangers, lining it with felt so it doesn't our beautiful front door.

What kind of spring wreath should I make? Please share with me some inspiration by leaving a comment below.
