what I'm into {February}

It's already the end of the month and it's already time for the monthly what I'm into post.  I've done it for the past two months and love looking back at what I included previously.  February has flown by, can you believe it's nearly March?  I noticed the crocus are coming up in my neighbor's yard already.
what I want to read.
The Hunger Games.  I started it over the weekend.  I have to admit, I'm hoping I don't fall off the face of earth and get sucked in the way everyone keeps telling me I will. #letsdothis

TV show worth watching.
Downton Abbey...and that's almost all I've watched since we disconnected our cable two weeks ago.

movie I've seen.
Moneyball.  I'm so ready for baseball season.

in my kitchen.
+ sweet potato chocolate pudding using this recipe
+ German pancakes (at least once a week)
+ veggies!

in my ears.
+ Caedomon's Call Chronicles. It may be nearly ten years old, but their familiar tunes bring back good memories from my college days.
+ KBCO radio (thanks to online radio, I never have to go without my favorite classic rock station and I get updates on Colorado weather)

items of note.
+ Our amazing bathroom re-do and painting the guest room.
+ I spoke at a leadership conference on Saturday for freshman and sophomores at Tufts University.  The students were great and I had a lot of fun talking about leadership and digital identity.
+ I bought this concealer, mostly because Zooey Deschanel was selling it and I really like how it blends.

what I'm looking forward to.
+ Hosting colleagues in Boston next month for my professional association's conference.  We've been working on this conference since December 2010, and I can't wait to see it come to fruition in my city!
+  Sharing more details + photos of home improvement projects...the mister has been hard at work and I'm hopeful I'll get some finishing touches on things to share soon.
+ Co-hosting a Pampered Chef party with a colleague next month.

  1. You may fall off the earth reading the Hunger Games. My step-daughter just read all 3 in less than a weeks time, we didn't see her face from the time she got home till bedtime! I just re-read the first and I'm starting to re-read the second! P.S. They are even better the second time!

    1. Hahaha, thanks for the advice. I'm kinda worried, but at least I have some time off this weekend so I can get into it w/o getting in trouble!

  4. I LOVED reading the Hunger Games - although I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the 3rd book (when you're finished!). I made those German pancakes this weekend and it was delish! Thanks for the recipe :D

    1. I hope I make it to the 3rd book. I'm so bad about finishing books, but I'm relying on it hooking me as everyone claims!
Glad you enjoyed the German pancake :) Syrup or powder sugar?

    1. Me too...I'm terrible about reading. I rarely finish a book, but since these are supposed to be a quick read and addictive I'm hoping for the best!
      I love that you're a fellow baseball fan :)
