put a bird on it

I've had a little obsession with this saying ever since I first watched Portlandia.  My husband and I joke around when ever we see a bird saying "put a bird on it" and I even told a colleague recently to do the same ((but he didn't get it)).  I have some ribbon with birds on it I used to make a cute clip for a baby.
I also own a sweater with bird on it and used to refer to it as my Twitter sweater because oddly enough the bird is Twitter blue ((I bought it at Old Navy years ago)).  Last week, I wore the sweater thinking it would put me in a happy & fun mood for a long day at work.  And it did just that, but not for the reasons I had imagined.  It reminded me of Matthew 6 and what Jesus said about birds.  I had a lot on my mind that day; it was racing in a million directions and I took the chance to be still and read the familiar words I needed so badly to hear.
Thank you, God, for the reminder:
Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?  Matthew 6:25-27

I'm grateful that something so silly brought me back to such a beautiful promise:
Do not be anxious about your life.  Our Heavenly Father provides for our every need.
Where have you seen reminders of God's promises lately?
