yarn covered {letters}

Over the weekend, I had high hopes of getting all the decorating done for Christmas in our house.  It didn't quite happen.  I worked on a few things around the house, but also spent ((much needed)) time with friends.  I did manage to finish one project to share for Caroline's Christmas Craft Along today.

As I was arranging the mantle, I thought about the colors and textures I wanted to use and the idea for yarn-covered letters seemed to fit...
Working with yarn and cardboard is a bit harder than I anticipated.  I suggest not being afraid to cut the yarn and using smaller lengths of it.  The ends of the letters are the trickiest part!  Funny thing is that I cam across a helpful pin after I finished the letters.  Maybe I'll make some more so I can try out this method.  Have you ever made yarn-covered letters?  If so, please tell me your tips!
