{December} sponsor highlight

I'm so thrilled to introduce you to the women ((and man)) sponsoring the blog this month. I hope you'll check out their blogs and connect with them. I asked everyone to tell us a bit about their blog and share their favorite Christmas hymn/carol.  Next week, I'll be hosting a giveaway from several of the sponsors with handmade shops!

Geeky&Sassy: where I blog about my not so perfect journey with my faith, family and crafty endeavors.

Favorite Christmas carol/hymn: Oh Holy Night is one of my favorite Christmas carols - it reminds me what a holy time it truly is and makes me reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. It gets me every time, seriously.

My favorite Christmas hymn is O Come O Come Emmanuel.  I love the haunting melody and the ultimate message that points our gaze toward the Savior, His initial divine life on earth, and the hope of his return one day. The call to ''Rejoice, Rejoice'' always rouses my heart to worship.

My favorite Christmas hymn would have to be Sufjan Steven's version of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing." I don't think words could describe why I like it, so just take a listen

Favorite Christmas carol/hymn is "Little Drummer Boy" specifically the version by David Bowie & Bing Crosby….mostly because I LOVE David Bowie. Seriously that man still has it after all these years!

Favorite Christmas song - White Christmas by Bing Crosby...LOVE this song!! I fell in love with watching White Christmas the movie when I was a little girl with my Grandma. It became a holiday tradition. I still watch White Christmas every year!

just the daily life of a Navy housewife: The Young Retiree!

Favorite Christmas carol/hymn: I don't even now how to begin to pick just one! I love listening to Christmas music! I would have to pick two though, one religious and one secular! As for my favorite Christmas Hymn: Hands down, the Ave Maria! I even wanted to walk down the aisle to it! There is something so special about the Ave Maria for me. While it isn't solely a Christmas song, I love hearing it during the Holidays!
Secularly speaking there is a song called "Together at Christmas" by the band "moe." that I adore! It is about a young couple spending Christmas together in a snow storm and the lyric that I love is when he says "I knew we'd get married, and I'd love you for the rest of my life." Spending Christmas with my husband (and not alone during deployment) is going to be so beautiful this year, even though we will say goodbye shortly after: we will be together for Christmas and love each other for the rest of our lives!
