thankful on paper {1}

The truth is there are a lot of reasons to be grateful for my husband and I don't often think of them. I mean I don't often verbally acknowledge them and even take them for granted.  But I'm excited to share the reasons I am thankful specifically for one person each Thursday this month as part of No. 17 Cherry Tree Lane's Thankful on Paper.

 
I am grateful for Brandon's commitment to me. Even in our times of disagreement, I know he chooses to love me ((as hard as it may be)) because he takes our marriage covenant seriously.  He is patient with my impatience at life.  He is honest with his feelings and struggles.  He shares his dreams and encourages me to pursue mine.

My husband not only tells me he loves me, but shows his love in so many ways from fixing up our old house to planting a garden to cooking dinner.  He's also willing to go to the grocery store and do other tasks that can overwhelm me.  He takes his school work seriously and I love it when he brings up conversation about the things he's learning or being challenged by there.

Beyond being thankful for his carpentry skills which he so often wows me with, I am grateful for his sense of humor...and because I love him so much and really appreciate him dressing up with me earlier this week, I have to share this photo of our Halloween costumes!
