Ever since I saw
this post on Kim's blog, I haven't been able to stop thinking about boots! And considering my own boot collection. A few weeks ago, as I pulled out my favorite pair of brown boots only to realize their cheapness is catching up...they're peeling! I was so sad, but I have continued to wear them (see I fooled everyone in these
photos). I paid about $50 for them and they have been good to me for
three years.
Naturally, it's got me thinking about what boots I want to replace them. Do I go with something more expensive, knowing it will last longer? Or do I get another cheap pair I'll have to replace in a few years? I really hate to spend a lot of money, so it's hard to think about buying boots that cost more than $100 or twice that. Yes, I'm cheap! In my search, I came across these beauties.
Think I have a case of boot lust? Right now, I seem to be leaning toward getting a more expensive pair of boots because I can find a pair that's both waterproof and comfortable....oh and stylish! But in the mean time, I plan to keep wearing my "peeling boots" and I'll risk seeing if anyone says anything.
Have you been drooling over any boots with the start of fall?
Oooh, I love all of those boots! I feel your dilemma - I have the same thing going on with an old pair of black boots... the heels are peeling!
ReplyDeleteI really want a pair of riding boots. I have big calves, so I gave up last year before I could find any boots that fit well and looked good.
ReplyDeletei loooooooove boots.
ReplyDeletewhat i do with all my boots is spray waterproofing on them! (a necessity in seattle.)
and some of my leather boots that have been scuffed, i take 'em to nordstrom and for under $20 they can give them new life.
speaking of nordstrom, that's where i usually find boots for under $100 that last a good few years. :)
I have the second pair you posted & they are amazing-totally worth the cost. I've had mine for 2 years so far & they are still in great shape.
