saturday dreams {on friday}

Happy Friday!  Even though it's been a "short" week thanks to the holiday on Monday, I find myself anxious for a few days of less structure and a seemingly "free" schedule.  On Saturday, I want to turn up some music and make pancakes then enjoy them with coffee while reading Proverbs 15.  I'll wear comfy clothes ((sweats)) and walk the dog.  Then drink hot cider ((since we have nearly two gallons in our fridge)) and choose a craft ((or may be two)) to take on for the rest of the day.

Can you tell this ((having little to no plans no matter what day)) isn't a regular occurrence?  Do you find yourself thinking about all the things that could be...if only you had the time? resources? energy?  And wow do I sound selfish having all these me-centered thoughts?! ((gulp))

So I'm going to celebrate this Saturday of no plans with a leisurely morning ((my husband has class all day)).  I will find joy in the chores ((laundry + cleaning)) because I am so grateful to have a husband + home to care for.  I will relish the attention from my dog because he's worth it, not because he's the only one home with me all day.  I plan to make something for others ((a few friend's birthdays + Christmas are fast approaching)).
