no-bake frozen granola treats

I came across this recipe via Pinterest a while back
and wasn't in the mood to turn on the oven,
but couldn't stand the thought of a few over-ripe bananas going to waste.
I modified the recipe into my own
peanut butter + chocolate no-bake frozen treats
ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup cheerios [or another crunchy cereal]
1 handful chocolate chips
2 1/2 over ripe bananas
2 tbsp. maple syrup
2 tbsp. peanut butter
directions:
line muffin tin with wrappers or grease them [as desired]
combine mashed banana, syrup and peanut butter
[I used Teddie, which has to be refrigerated so, I nuked it for 45 seconds so it would mix more easily]
add oats and cheerios, mix thoroughly
mix in chocolate chips last
spoon into 12 muffin cups and set in freezer for an hour or more
They are best when removed from the freezer and stand for 5-10 min.
so they're not rock hard when you eat them.
But don't let them sit for too long or they get too mushy!
Have you successfully modified any recipes recently?
