Over the past week, I've been branching out more. You see, I've been growing my hair out & I am not very skilled at styling it (never have been which is why it's been short for the past five years or so).
But I came across some inspiration...thanks to a tweet from @allorahandmade & Pinterest for providing lovely photos when I needed it.
I'm talking about the side bun & its many variations...check 'em out!

I love side buns! I wore my hair in one for my wedding and it was perfect. of course.... I cut off almost 10 inches a month later and can only pull off a nubby ponytail now :)
ReplyDeletepretty. here's another good one: http://thebeautydepartment.com/2011/06/pin-it-up-girl/
ReplyDeleteI recommend buying a Barbie with long hair. I didn't even realize I was teaching myself to French braid as I'd play with their hair in grade school.
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! i love the soft hair styles! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletePretty sure I'm going to do a side bun for my wedding...the fiancé likes my hair up, but I don't want to do a plain bun. The side bun is a little softer. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove those styles =) I can't wait 'til my hair grows out again. You can totally master the french braid.
ReplyDeleteI miss the days when I was younger and had more hair, lol!! Just keep practicing. My daughter couldn't french braid her own hair but she kept at it til she could do it!
ReplyDeleteGreat hair looks!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the french braid!
How fun! I wish I could style my hair like that- maybe you've inspired me to try :)
ReplyDeleteYou inspired me to french braid my hair today. Tips: start with damp hair, start half way down, don't stop if you think you've messed up or something has gone wrong, put in a little hairspray when you're done, and bring bobby pins with you just in case!
