miscellany monday {7}

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters
{1} home improvement continues...
Dinner prep had been looking something like this last week:
We installed new lighting in the kitchen,
adding a switch with a sensor to turn on & off.
It's pretty much the coolest thing ever!

{2} date night.
Since we moved less than a month ago,
we hadn't been to many restaurants.
Finding good Mexican food is a must for me; it's my favorite.
But I am happy to report we found a new fave:
El Mariachi in South Easton.

{3}I've been considering my strengths.
Last week, I attended a one day work shop on using
StrengthsQuest effectively.
I am intrigued by the idea of focusing on my strengths,
rather than improving my weaknesses.
My strengths:
Restorative | Responsibility | Communication | Activator | Deliberative

Happy Monday, friends!

  3. Can't wait to see the kitchen when it's done. And yes, Mexican is a must for me, too!

A co-worker recently told me about StrengthsQuest - at least I assume it was the same. It also focused on strengths rather than what you need to improve.

I have some professional development money I've been planning to use for a consultant rather than a conference . . . would you recommend SQ?

  4. ooohhh I've done StrengthsQuest too...nottt too sure what I was now that I think of it, but it was very "connect"-er - Harmony, that was one of them. Anyways, congrats on the lights! Def wear the headlamp still though.

  5. Good luck on all the renovations! We're renovating right now too. I LOVE Mexican food! My husband and I go out to our favorite Mexican restaurant once a week :)

  6. I think that dinner prep light is hilarious!
So good you had something like that available.

I have cooked in the dark once but it was light enough outside to get things done with the blinds open.

Mexican. How I love thee :)
