typical tuesday

tuesdays are typically my least favorite day of the work week.
they're busy with deadlines and meetings
and today feels even more busy than usual with the elections underway
(which means there's an excitement in the air).
what will the elections bring?
many hope for change and more specifically improvement in some form.
i've been able to vote for 12 years now, yet i'm almost always optimistic,
hoping those intended changes will come along to improve our life in some way.

while talking with college students & recently explaining the leadership challenge,
it got me thinking about how doing one's civic duty of voting exemplifies modeling the way,
one of the five practices of leadership.
it's important to do our part in leading by example.

this tuesday, i am focusing on modeling the way,
rather than getting bogged down by my ever-growing task list.
let's make it a terrific tuesday!
